SFCM Summer Strings Workshop - Viola

Experience string studies at SFCM through two private lessons, historical performance seminars, and technique and orchestral repertoire classes, and join masterclasses across all string instruments. Additional classes in healthy playing and chamber music also introduce participants to other areas of the SFCM curriculum. 

SFCM viola faculty actively perform as soloists and chamber musicians, as well as musicians in the San Francisco Symphony. The viola workshop will conclude with masterclasses for select participants, with Dimitri Murrath (first place winner of Primrose Competition and Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient) and Jonathan Vinocour (principal violist of SF Symphony).

10:00 - 10:45 AM: Body Mapping for Musicians
11:00 AM -12:00 PM: Beethoven Sonata Seminar
12:15 -1:00 PM: Virtual lunch with SFCM faculty and students
1:30 - 4:00 PM: Private Lessons
4:30 - 5:30 PM: Orchestral Repertoire Class
