CIL - Leaders Reframe False Dichotomies

Content creators vs owners. Tradition vs innovation. Musicians vs management. All of these are false dichotomies that affect the conversations among artists and administrators. Over three days, small groups of top musicians and managers across the orchestra and opera world openly discussed these important topics outside the bargaining table in response to the accelerated rate of change around us. These facilitated conversations are open to all to observe: players, singers, administrators, students, board members, and anyone else who believes classical music isn’t a zero sum game among its constituents.

Facilitator: Aubrey Bergauer, Executive Director of the Center for Innovative Leadership
